Art Jones is a filmmaker, video and digital media artist and a disturber of general social events. His art is a culmination of live "feeds" with intensive video mixing into a cacophony of visual bombastic displays on multiple monitors or links. His work makes extensive use of popular music and mainstream media culture as raw material to be sampled and re-combined in order to examine implicit meanings or suggest new ones.

Working within a particular genre or mode, the work seeks to explore, destroy and re-orient the conventions of "the media." The formal construction of Jones's mediaworks reflects the rhythms and beat of rap music.
